The first question most people ask me is "Who are you and what are you doing in my bushes?"

This is usually followed by "How did you get the sheep to dance the Flamenco?"

Then they want to know, what is Dreck?

DRECK (drek)-noun : slang : trash, especially inferior merchandise
ETYMOLOGY: German, dirt, trash :Yiddish 'drek', excrement, both from Middle High German 'drec'

Hamish's Dreck was hammered into existence in 2001 following a Buttershots bender and a desire to do something useful with a pile of leather that had sat in my closet for two years. When I first began doing SCA and renfaires I only had a drawstring cloth pouch to hold things in that was very annoying to get things out of. I searched for several years for a decent leather pouch that wouldn't break the bank with little luck.
And so, I decided to see if I could make something that was functional, roomy, and held up well to running around in funny clothes a lot. I debuted my creations in September of 2001, and it has grown and grown. I have come to be known as a place to get many of the basic accessories for a reasonable price. I took it as my full time profession in 2007, and I continue to keep prices as low as I can. I try to keep some of everything in stock, but some things may be subject to waiting for supplies.
